Career
Fiona is a leadership coach, facilitator, strategic HR lead and global diversity and inclusion pioneer. She has partnered with the most senior technology and engineering functions at Accenture and Lockheed Martin, and specialized in executive level career management in addition to leadership development and inclusion initiatives. As an HR Business Partner and Managing Director at Accenture and Lockheed Martin, Fiona was responsible for the human capital strategy for several profitable consulting and engineering groups, including Oracle, SAP, Technology Architecture and Security. She managed global groups through periods of significant growth, leading aggressive recruitment campaigns as well as innovative executive on-boarding and integration programs. Fiona also held US and global leadership roles for Accenture's PRIDE network from 2001 to 2014, and drove the business case to implement domestic partner benefits in 2000. She used her executive network to create understanding for the need for PRIDE networks in countries such as Italy and India and was recognized as Accenture's "Working Mother" of the year in 2013. Fiona launched her company in 2016 and works mostly with professional services organizations. |
Background/Interests
Fiona grew up in Manchester, UK and is a long-suffering Manchester United fan. She has also lived in France, Germany and Tunisia and loves to practice her French and beer garden German. Fiona moved to Washington DC in 1996, signed up for a charity bike ride to make new friends and never looked back. She loves the many local bike paths and rolling hills and is proud to have raised over $15,000 for AIDS charities. Over the years, Fiona has shamelessly milked her British accent volunteering and fundraising for the Human Rights Campaign and school PTA organizations. She's been married for 25 years to a teacher and poet and has two teenagers who keep her on her toes. |
Passions
In 2011 Accenture was one of many companies contributing to a global campaign to reduce LGBTQ teen suicide rates. I was proud to be a part of the team speaking about our recollections of teenage days. Being a teenager is a tough rite of passage at the best of times. It's always heartening to know you're not alone. Warning: 5 min video!
